Website source code updated!
Announcements, Design January 25th, 2005
After half a dozen completion attempts and numerous changes to the code I have completed the reconstruction of the website’s pervious multiple page structure to a single page with “if else” statements. This structure is not exactly what I wanted it to be. For one I am not using the SQL database like I had planed before I started. Two I am using a lot more include now, which is opposite of what I wanted to do, if you remember from my post yesterday.

Upcoming site update.
Announcements, Design January 24th, 2005
I am going to start recoding the site, soon. I want it to be more PHP and SQL structured (like I have not said that before). There were some problems with page includes toward the end of last week. You might have seen the error written pages if you had visited the site at that time. I know that these problems will be avoided when the pages are generated from the database. That is not to say that I won’t be using includes in the future, I am still going to. I love using includes! I will just have to on fewer occasions and only where necessary.
After I am done with the recoding or maybe while I am doing it, I will also make a page for all the blogs hosted on Titan Fusion. So far there are only three, but lets hope this number will grow soon.

I have been trying to figure out how to strip and hack the code from the index page of the IPB forums, so I can have the posts from a specific forum displayed. The reason why I wanted to do that is so I can display the news on the Clan -(MP)- site. Until tonight what I was doing is have SQL table and forms to which I mirrored the news posts on the forums. That is kind of hard, simply because I am not the only person posting news. Whoever is making a news post they will have to remember that they make a post not only on the forums but also to the news form for the web site.

Is it a variable or is it a value?
Announcements, Design December 23rd, 2004
LoL, just wiped up a quick script for the ad banners on my web site. I want to use different shaped banners in different locations on the website, but I do not want to make a separate file for the code of each ad. Why would I make a separate file for the code of each ad? Why do not I simply past the code in the page I am working on? Well, there are few reasons why I am doing that. They are as follows:

Blog Update!
Announcements, Design November 9th, 2004
I have made number of changed to my blog, and I have alos added some more plug ins. I have added blogtimes. A plug in which show at what time, in a period of twenty four hours, entries where made in the last thirty days. After the times are acquired the plug in generates a bar graph. It is dynamically generated every time the page is refreshed. I placed the image from the plug in at the bottom of the page. So, just scroll to the bottom of this page and you will be able to see it. I have also added an amazon.com wish list plug in. It will randomly display an item from my Amazon wish list and link it back to the amazon.com site. So feel free to send me some gifts!!! Read the rest of this entry »
Site and Blog additions.
Announcements, Design October 24th, 2004
In the last few days I have been messing around with the code and different hacks/plug-ins for WordPress. Some of the things I have added to the blog are print post option. It can be seen on the right at the end of every entry. I have also added a poll and search word highlighting. Whenever someone arrives to the blog from a search engine or they use the search on the blog page the words the person was searching for will appear highlighted throughout the page. -(MP)- site progress.
Design August 20th, 2004
The news database is up and running. Finally. It too a while, lol. It happens when you are learning PHP and SQL at the same time. But the database and the pages are up and coded. I still am going to improve on the news entry page, give it more features and make the data submitted to the database more flexible.
Before I do that, I still have few other things to work on like members, battles and upcoming databases and forms.
I am getting better at it.
Quote from the -(MP)- site news:
The web site is back. As many have had the chance to notice, he site have been redesigned and back. There are still some sections, like battle record and members, missing. But overall the site is 90% completed. Woo Hoo. News db and linking problems are resolved, something which will make Gilgamesh very happy.
Now that the news section is completed, next on my agenda is to create the battle record and members sections, followed by adding search feature to the site. When the above three are done, I will be working on improving some parts of the site and their usability. It will be mainly in the background, so you won’t be noticing too many changes on the outside other than facelifts here and there.
-(MP)- site back on-line.
Announcements, Design August 14th, 2004
The -(MP)- site is back up and running. It took me only an afternoon to design it and create the images. The only thing left to do is to create the forms for the news updates, members’ profiles and clan challenge. After that I just have to link them to the SQL database, which is already set up. When that is done, I will have to create the members and battles sections of the site, which will be utilizing the SQL database, and update the home page, to pull the news form the database as well. When all of those are done, the site will be done as well. It should not take me more than an afternoon to accomplish. Next are the Jus2 Investing site, and its customer system.
