There was a link post to the following blog entry: monkey methods: Bill Gates Strikes a Pose for Teen Beat Photospread, 1983, on the DoD Battle for Europe forums. Here is what I had to say after glancing over the pictures in the entry.

In the second photograph, it looks like he is about to give you the finger, but if you look close, right in front of the camera there is a floppy in the air.

We are all laughing, even he is! Only difference is that he is doing it on the way to the bank, while some of us are sitting here using the reason why he is laughing on the way to the bank. Which brings me back to my comment from above about the second picture, in the third one he is giving you the finger!!!
